Trial Of The Self

Trial of the Self was my first major release, recorded during my final year of high school with a group of friends I’d met through various musical experiences. It was my way of introducing my first real compositions to the world—and an early attempt at creating conceptual, exploratory jazz.

The EP tells a story of self-criticism and the journey toward self-acceptance. Structured in three movements, it guides the listener through the emotional arc of The Verdict (falling into self-hate), Repentance (wrestling with personal judgment), and Forgiven (finding resolution and self-compassion).
